Ski trip to Jay Peak, VT

Drove up to Jay, VT this weekend for a day of snowboarding with Greg, Nicole and Dan. Stayed at an apartment that was an offshoot of 'Grampa Grunts Lodge'. As Nicole explained, we stayed off site because apparently there was a rowdy college ski club staying there that weekend, and because we are old curmudgeons, would likely have been bothered by them.

So close to Canada that my cell phone actually switched from AT&T to Rogers at one point.
The lodge; Montgomery Center, VT

I like how the the cartoon looks like a grizzled prospector that is skiing.

Little Grunts
All the beams and furniture in the place seemed crooked.
Numerous games of Scrabble were played at that table.

Breakfast was served at the lodge: toast, english muffins, bagels and lox...
... banana pancakes, omelets and biscuits and gravy.

They are doing an insane amount of construction at the mountain. Extreme!
Stopped here for a coffee on the way home.

There were some great flyers posted outside the store
In case you were looking for someone to skin your moose
