second post; trashcan and cheque

Heres a couple interesting pictures from around my apartment:

1)

I didn't buy this trash can that currently lives in our bathroom. I don't know who did. What I do know is that I feel bad for it. While a normal trashcan just gets simple things like pizza boxes and oreo wrappers thrown into it, this one is way more of a gross zone; everything from dental floss to old toothbrushes goes here. Maybe even more horrid things. The reason that I highlight this piece is that there is an '@' pressed on the side of it for some reason. I like it. It kinda makes me feel that my bathroom trash recepticle has an email address... something like... 'bathroom.garbage@trash.com'

2)We got this in the mail, and originally I thought that we had done something wrong. To my surprise, our landlords owed us money. Even to this day, we are unsure why. There are so many layers of awesomeness involved with this.. It could be the fact that the cheque is for sixty cents.. which is roughly 20 cents more than the stamp that it took to send it to us.. but the best part is that, as the one who delivers the rent check, ive never had the oppertunity to have to distribute sixty cents between three people. The cheque will stay on the fridge - the story behind it is worth way more than the money that we will get cashing it in.

Screw livejournal, thats what I say. I was posting and thinking on that thing since the beginning of the internet, and every time I try and start that thing up again, I never post as much as I did in college, so I say screw it and then throw my computer in a river then go out and buy a new computer.

Today at work was crazy. We bought thousands and thousands of dollars worth of computer servers, and I am in charge of getting everything hooked up. For the last few days, everything has been working pretty much great, but today came the day when me and my coworker Darol had to install them in the rack. Make things a little more permanent, rather than all the functioning guts be on the outside, not unlike an iron lung.

So it took 6 awesome hours to get the two of these beasts into their places. No easy task either, the bottom one weighs about 70 pounds and has a whopping 4TB of hard drive storage.

This is what it looks like behind the rack. Most every wire serves a purpose, especially the one that was kicked out and knocked channel 15 off the air. We had to make a quick temporary fix which is why 'Classic Arts Showcase' will be on the air for the next two days.
